Introduction
Dr.Thiru has more than 20 years experience in the field of orthopaedic surgery. Besides the standard orthopaedic and trauma management, Dr.Thiru specialises in joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery and limb reconstruction surgery.
His skill set includes assessment of limb deformity and shortening due to arthritis, post-traumatic bone loss, malunion and non-union, followed by formulating a special plan for limb reconstruction surgery with joint replacement, illizarov technique and limb reconstruction system.
Dr.Thiru is active in teaching. In collaboration with Academy of Family Physician Malaysia, he conducts a yearly Practical Office Orthopaedic workshop for General Practitioner from all over Malaysia. He is a clinical professor and teaches clinical orthopaedic to medical students from Manipal Medical College.
