Introduction
Dr Ruben specialises in treating patients who have diseases of the digestive system, namely the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. He is trained in therapeutic endoscopy which includes Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound.
Apart from Gastroenterology, he also treats patients with General Medical diagnoses such as hypertension, diabetes and infections. He is interested in promoting cancer prevention and screening for colon cancer.
Dr Ruben completed his training in Internal Medicine in Malaysia, followed by Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He then furthered his studies in Australia in Advanced Endoscopy. He had served with the Ministry of Health as a Consultant in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital before joining Mahkota Medical Centre.
