Dr Ganesan is a skilled Interventional Radiologist, specialising in Neuro and Peripheral Intervention. Together with his team, they performed the first mechanical thrombectomy for Hyperacute Stroke in Sabah in 2022.

Dr Ganesan is a board certified Interventional Radiologist and obtained his training from Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selayang Hospital, Antonio Cardarellu Hospital in Naples, Italy. Having performed close to 3,000 procedures in his career as an Interventional Radiologist, Dr Ganesan's expertise are minimally invasive endovascular and non-vascular interventions such as, but not limited to, percutaneous embolization of vascular malformations, tumors, and acute hemorrhage, arterial and venous thrombectomies, arterial and venous stenting, image guided biopsies and drainages, as well as ablation, vertebroplasty, and kyphoplasty.
